Joining Avi will be JoAnn Flemming, Executive Director of Grassroots America:
A leader in the constitutional conservative movement for twenty-three years, JoAnn Fleming is the executive director of Grassroots America – We the People, the largest constitutional conservative organization in East Texas and one of the largest in the state. She is the three-term Chair of the Texas Legislature’s TEA Party Caucus Advisory Committee. In this unpaid role, she works directly with grassroots leaders from across the state and with legislators to develop and pass constitutionally conservative bills and to kill “big government” legislation. She was also appointed by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick to chair his Grassroots Advisory Board for the 84th legislative session. JoAnn is the grassroots TEA Party representative in the Coalition for a Conservative Budget – a group that includes Texas Public Policy Foundation, Texans for Fiscal Responsibility, and numerous conservative statewide organizations working to reduce the size and scope of state government through conservative reforms. Fleming is also a founding partner in the Clean Up Austin Coalition (cleanupaustin.com).
Fleming represents Grassroots America as she tours Texas with the Life, Liberty and Property Coalition – a coalition representing every major conservative organization in Texas. The leaders of Grassroots America, Texas Right to Life, Texas Eagle Forum, Empower Texans, Concerned Women for America/Texas, Texas Values, and the Texas Home School Coalition use the Life, Liberty, and Property Tour to inform the people of Texas about the legislative process and the conservative reforms needed to make Texas strong enough to lead a nation looking for answers.
Breitbart Texas managing director Brandon Darby invited JoAnn to become an opinion writer for the growing state news site, which can be found on the late Andrew Breitbart’s international news site – Breitbart.com. JoAnn’s “right between the eyes” commentary appears in Breitbart Texas regularly and is often reprinted on Townhall.com.
JoAnn is a self-retired county commissioner; a sought-after public speaker; and a guest political analyst for local media and a frequent contributor to state political commentary.
JoAnn campaigned with US Senator Ted Cruz, speaking with him at many events. She continues to serve on the Cruz “Kitchen Cabinet” grassroots team of advisors. She is a Heritage Action Sentinel – the political action arm of the Heritage Foundation.
Through the years, JoAnn has earned the title of “local government subject matter expert” by having actively served on twenty-two local government boards, task forces, and committees. Mrs. Fleming’s consulting skills include public policy/organizational development, performance management, teambuilding, small business success, campaign strategy and messaging, candidate and grassroots training. She holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her professional career was in Oil and Gas Accounting/Field Operations and small business consulting.
JoAnn is a native Texan, born in Killeen while her father was in military service. Married for 36 years to her high school sweetheart, she and her husband have one son – a business graduate from UT-Tyler. Long, long ago, when she had leisure time, JoAnn enjoyed fishing.
America is at a crossroads and this meetings brings us two individuals who are in the middle of the fight for our values. Avi just finished hosting the 8oo year anniversary celebration of the Magna Carta, a document directly linked to our original struggle for liberty. JoAnn is leading the Grassroots efforts here in Texas to push back against the socialist agenda being thrust upon us in Austin. Texas, dear friends is the last stand, and I pray that you will join us on Thursday July 30th to Ignite the Fire. Tell your friends and neighbors that they need to understand what is happening and what we can do about it.
In His service and for His purpose,
