Merry Christ-mas!! On this day we take a break from looking at all that is being done to steal, kill and destroy the world that God sent His Son to redeem. Dan Gainor my weekly guest for the BC Zone joins me as we discuss the meaning of Christmas and how this day has come to mean a focus on the Son of God. We will discuss why we do what we do and how it relates to the message of Christmas.
This has been quite a Christmas season and it seems that taking the Christ out of Christmas has been the focus of the enemy of our souls and those whom he influences and controls. We must always remember that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers and rulers of wickedness in heavenly places. But He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. God’s gift to us is this amazing love He showed in sending His Son, not simply for a “better” life, but so that we might have life period. If Jesus claims are true and He is the way, the truth and the life. If God spoke truth in the garden of Eden and Eve’s rebellion in eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil led to death. If old things pass away and all things become new. If we are crucified with Christ and yet live. Then any life outside of Jesus Christ is A: lost, B: living in deception and C: dead. He did not come then to simply bring us a “better” life, He came to bring us “LIFE”. When we reflect on the birth and the amazing story of Mary and Joseph, their obedience and sacrifice, Joseph whom history has all but forgotten, but who gave up everything to be the earthly father of the King. Mary scorned by her family and village, the mother of the bastard child, forever identified as that woman, until Jesus revealed Himself and proclaimed her blessed among women. God who used the foolish to confound the wise and the simple in such a profound way that the enemy of our souls the great deceiver was himself so badly fooled that he did exactly what the Father led him to do. God the Father shows us the meaning of love and the price of that love. In this Christ-mas celebration this year let us commit to reaffirm our faith in the One who came to give us the greatest gift of all. “LIFE”
I want to invite you to two upcoming events. First on Monday night December 30th at 7:15 and 7:30 PM in Fredericksburg at the Fritztown Theatre 2254 South Highway 87 Fredericksburg there will be a one time public showing of the movie “Behold A Pale Horse, America Aflame”. Starring Country Music legend Charlie Daniels, this film is in documentary form and was five years in the making. If you have seen Behold A Pale Horse on DVD, you have only seen a part of the story. This film adds to that work and will give you a greater insight into the battle we are in and the truth we need to know. Lets fill up the theatre. The only way we turn this around is to become involved.
Secondly I would like to invite you to consider participating in the upcoming Constitutional Class being held by the Oak Initiative. The cost is $30 for Adults and $15 for students and will start on Monday January 13th at 11:30 AM.
