IRS attack on Free Speech

If you would like to express you views on the IRS attempts to attack free speech by conservative organizations here is a link:

Here are some points to make courtesy of Matt Kibbe of Freeodworks:
Tell them these new rules will make it illegal for you to:

Mention a candidate up for re-election within 60 days of an election. That includes every single member of the House of Representatives – you won’t be able petition your own representatives.
Register voters.
Call for the election or defeat of a political candidate.
Hold candidate forums so voters can decide who would best represent them.

Here is my comment:

To Whom This May Concern

America has always been the land of the free and the home of the brave. Part of the reason for this freedom is the ability to express our views and to support for elected office those we believe share our values. The proposed rule change violates those core values and violates the first amendment of the constitution, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

When someone is not representing our views we reserve the right to assemble and talk about it. Further we reserve the right to promote those who share our opinions. These new rules would make it illegal for us to participate in the election process by forbidding us to hold candidate forums, endorse or renounce candidates that we either support or feel are not representing us. To register voters or to mention a candidate up for reelection within 60 days of the election. These are un-American rules and guidelines and I am asking you to not allow these this rule to be adopted. Thank you!

One warning, after posting your comment do not be surprised if it never sees the light of day. Here is the warning on the IRS site after you post:

Your comment will be viewable on Regulations.gov after the agency has reviewed it, which may be an indefinite amount of time. Use your tracking number to find out the status of your comment.
