Religious liberty under attack Michael Connelly USJF and Jeremy Dys Liberty Institute with Pastor Greg Young Chosen Generation

Dear Friends,

The attacks against religious liberty and the first amendment seem to get more ridiculous every day. I am sure that many of you have listened to Chuck Swindoll and Insight for Living Ministries. Did you know that they have been forced to file a lawsuit in order to fight against being forced to pay for abortion inducing drugs? The Hobby Lobby case is settled law and yet it only offers protection to for profit corporations. Yes religious organizations are still forced to violate their conscience and pay to end life. In California, the state has mandated that insurers treat both “maternity services and legal abortion neutrally.” This requires employers to pay insurers and the insurer then pays for the abortion. There is no difference for the employer who has a conscientious and religious objection. Either way they are covering abortion inducing drugs as well. Then there are the implications associated with the subpoenas served to pastors in Houston. Jeremy Dys joined me to discuss these issues. I was also joined by Dr Paul Jehle, Executive Director of the Plymouth Rock Foundation who discussed the Puritans, the Pilgrims and how they viewed civil disobedience against the king. Listen here:

Michael Connelly joined me to discuss what is happening to Texas in the capitol where the current Texas Speaker of the House Joe Strauss, a Republican, has asked Jim Clancy the head of the Texas Ethics Commission to target “conservative” groups who speak against establishment politicians. This is patterned after the IRS actions against conservative groups in the last election. Yes, you read that right a Republican is ordering the targeting of “conservative” groups in Texas. This should wake up the citizens of our state to the fact that we are obviously not the conservative bastion that so many believe we are. Michael shares legal analysis on this and on the administrations efforts to stop Governors from using the same executive orders that the resident loves to use. Hypocrisy? Also are you ready to change your diet? Are you looking for an organic solution? Renita Reith joined Greg Pirkl and I to discuss her line of Organic Traditions which are sold at Kerrville Health Food Store. Listen here:

On the program for Tuesday, I will be joined in the first segment by KJ52. If you have listened to my show for any length of time you know that I did a Holy Hip Hop radio show called a “Dose of the Ghost” that was in syndication from 2002 to 2007. On that show I used to play several songs by KJ52 and I am excited to have him on the program with me. He has recently dropped a new album and his single “Tonight” has been selected to be used by ESPN Sunday Night Football for the entire NFL season. How is Holy Hip Hop impacting culture? How did a Christian rapper get his song on ESPN?

In the second segment I will be joined by Paul Janizcek former assistant to Ambassador John Bolton as we explore the ISIS situation, the over all approach to the middle east and the latest foreign policy developments.

In the third segment I will be joined by John Loeffler. John is the host of Steel On Steel and I recently was a guest on his show. He joins me to discuss the idea that Christians and Pastors in particular are always too late to the party to have a real impact. That we are always reacting and never proactive. In addition we will discuss millennials and what we might need to do to reach them.

In the final segment I will be joined by Larry Pratt the Executive Director of
Gun Owners of America. Larry joins me to discuss the new law in California which gives any relative the right to have your guns taken from you if they report you as a risk. Also, Joe Biden called for another high profile victim at the memorial for Jim Brady on October 10th in order to institute more gun control, a new push to get race added to the forms needed to purchase a gun and the left is blaming gun owners for the Ebola crisis. Tune in this will be very interesting.

Thank you again for your prayers and support. I would be most appreciative if you would consider even a one time end of year gift to the ministry. Remember that together with God, we can turn this thing around!!
